Dynamic & highly
effective

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic and highly effective form of Pilates that utilises a specialised piece of equipment called a Reformer. Unlike traditional mat-based Pilates, the Reformer machine provides adjustable resistance, enhanced support, and increased movement variations, making it ideal for strengthening, lengthening, and toning the body.

  • (1)    Engages core, upper body, lower body, and stabilising muscles in a single session.
  • (2)   Strengthens deep abdominal muscles, reducing back pain and improving posture.
  • (3)    Low-impact & joint-friendly perfect for those recovering from injuries or looking for a gentle yet effective workout.
  • (4)  Weight management &
muscle toning – helps sculpt lean muscles and increase calorie burn through controlled resistance training.

Who is Reformer for?

Everyone – It provides support and guidance, making it easier to build strength safely. Reformer Pilates is used by athletes, dancers, and physio's to improve strength, flexibility, and injury recovery.

6 CORE principles

  • breathing

Breathing is integral to Pilates practice and plays a critical role in every movement. Deep, controlled breathing helps oxygenate the muscles, enabling better performance and endurance.

  • Control

This principle ensures that each exercise engages the appropriate muscles and supports safe execution, preventing strain or injury. Control helps develop strength and balance, ensuring that all movements are intentional.

  • centre

Pilates emphasises using the core, often referred to as the "powerhouse," which includes the abdominals, lower back, hips, and glutes. Centering ensures that all movements originate from this strong, stable base.

  • flow

Flow refers to the smooth, continuous nature of movements in Pilates. Exercises are not isolated but flow from one to the next in a graceful and controlled manner. This fluidity enhances coordination and balance.

  • precision

Precision emphasises the importance of executing movements with accuracy, focusing on the quality of movement over quantity. In Pilates, small adjustments and precise actions are key to targeting specific muscle groups.

  • concentration

Pilates requires full mental focus on each movement. By concentrating on the task at hand, you enhance the mind-body connection, ensuring that every action is performed with purpose and precision.
